Craig first started racing halfway through 2007 and by 2008 he finished 2nd in the Scottish F4 Championship.
By 2009 Craig was racing the Scottish 600 Championship and tried his first road race, finishing in the top six.
2010 was Craig's first season on the road circuits and managed to score numerous podiums in the support classes, where he finished 3rd in the Junior Championship and 5th in the Senior Championship.
2011 Craig did half a season on the road circuits and managed to finish 3rd in the 450 National Class and scored top 10 finishes in the Premier Classes. He also had podium finishes at Scarborough.
2012 was selected roads and short circuits due to family commitments, but where Craig raced he scored podiums on both bikes and also accrued personal best times.
In 2013 Craig achieved the status of Melville Motor Club Supertwin & Open Class Champion. He also finished in 2nd place in the Melville Supercup on a Kawasaki ZX10R. 2nd In Scottish Lightweight Championship and also 2nd in the Scottish Supercup Championship.
